EVCC November lunch run to the Hunter Valley
26 People Attending This Event
I am delighted to say that we have arranged a fantastic Hunter valley destination for our November run! We are finally able to take up the very kind invitation from one of our own – Jen and Vince Nicita – to go to their lovely property and business, the Nicita Estate in Pokolbin.
As you will see from their website, it is a truly gorgeous destination!
As Jen is already booked to run a pasta cooking school that day, we will be served with sumptuous antipasto boxes and a bottle of water for lunch, at a cost of $25 each. Please feel free to bring along some wine, or even drop into the winery next door for a fresh bottle.
Because our regular departure point is currently a building site, we will be meeting at Calibrate Café in Lord St, Roseville, where car parking is available directly across the road. We will be meeting at 7.30am for a coffee with a prompt 8.00am departure time.
Our route will take us up Pacific Highway onto the M1, and then head to Wollombi via Peats Ridge.
We plan to have a brief stop at the Great Northern Trading Post at Laguna for a coffee and let stragglers catch up. Many of you will know this venue from our run earlier in the year. These are great driving roads – an even more so on the other side of Wollombi, heading to Broke and beyond.
We expect to arrive at the Nicita Estate around 11am, providing lots of time to take in the lovely ambience (and cars in Vince’s garage) before sitting down for lunch. Don’t worry, you will still have lots of time to check out other nearby wineries before heading home for those so inclined.
We will need to have confirmed numbers locked in no later than Sunday Nov 15th, so please let me know if you would still like to come (for those who have not confirmed their intention, etc).
This will be a fabulous run and I have already received fantastic responses confirming intention to come along.
Please feel free to contact me if you would more info on the run, or Vince if you would like to know more about our final destination (or make a booking for Jen’s cooking school – Our Italian Table – in 2021 – I think she is fully booked for 2020!).
